Re: Our travelling cousins

It's in The Mail Online, online editions of The Mirror & The Sun.

An earlier story also in The Times.

Re: Wood FIred PIzza Van

The food is good. The cost of running shops is now soo high that people are getting inventive with running business in alternative ways. Well done. That's true. Do they need to be regulated? Probably not. I hope they get a licence, because the hoisin duck and spicy sausage pizzas are amazing. Is th...

Re: Boots /Whsmith site to be demolished.

Heard a rumour of this last year. I think Boot's & Smith's are the only two shops I really use in the town now. Occasionally, Paperchase and Waterstone's but that's it. I'll only be going in to town for the odd market then and perhaps M&S if I'm picking up a delivery. The High Street is already dead...

Re: 'STORE TWENTY-ONE' RE-OPENED

Judging by the stock, I'd say it's not St21 re-opened but a temporary occupation.##

Having said that, I've not been in either shop but viewed from the street.

I think there's a proposal before the Council soon regarding the licensing of street vendors.

It was taken over when the owner retired but then I noticed he came back.

Such a useful shop and the original owner was so helpful too.

I really doubt it would of made a difference if he went or not. Phillip Hammond is hardly going to vote against the government as chancellor. I really doubt he would quit one of the best jobs available apart from PM.
That's why he wasn't there

Very sad to read that.

I doubt her family read this forum but just in case, we will always remember her.

Condolences.

Re: Proposed Heathrow expansion

Private Eye spotted that the Tories have had someone going through Conservative and government websites to remove references to Theresa May's pledge to oppose a third runway at Heathrow. Sadly it appears that Boris is not going to lie down in front of the bulldozers. I see Phil was absent for the v...

Re: Forthouse surgery list closed for over 2 years now

It sounds like Fort House wants to expand - hence the new premises. Yes , definitely. That's been on the cards for a long while. The partners appear very dynamic and forward thinking. Years ago they were based in Rodney Road too. Then they broke away and set up in Hersham Road. I was a prenatal pat...

Re: Forthouse surgery list closed for over 2 years now

re eligability, the GPs will know when someone has moved out of area or has died as they have to send on / archive medical records and notify the NHS Demographic Spine (national NHS database). It's hard to see how neither practice can not have a reducing caseload. I suspect the answer is that fundi...

Re: Forthouse surgery list closed for over 2 years now

I have been told by one of the partners that the list will reopen, if and when, they move to Walton Hospital. The move has not been confirmed with patients yet. As I understand it,they were negotiating to takeover to the proposed Stompond Lane surgery (never built) but the NHS wouldn't give sufficie...

Re: Heathside Walton-on-Thames

Good point.

It's certainly been under consideration for a long while so that might well be the case with the path.
