Re: Loft boards

Well that was a productive discussion to start the new year. Just what this forum needed.

I’ve got a neighbour. The only time I see him is when he wants something.

Re: Wellington Close aka Walton Flats

Nice to see the refurbishment going on a pace in at the first block. All looks very promising driving past the site. I see one of the apartments is up for sale for 189k. I wonder if that includes the price of the refurb or not. Got to be a bargain compared to some of the children’s shoe box size pla...

Re: PA Housing

I’ve heard after putting out the feelers some months ago, that the companies who started the development went bust. When I asked why no one else has taken it on, after all it looks well advanced; I was told it was because it’s a social housing scheme. It will be a year in February since I last saw a...

Re: Walton Health Centre total joke.

To respond to self; So after just under 4hrs of trying we drove down there. Got an appointment no problem. Plenty of space in the car-park and hardly anyone waiting. Turns out the phones are 'playing up'. Just before Christmas we got a flyer to the effect that patients just turning up at 8.30am woul...

Walton Health Centre total joke.

So. Since calling at exactly 8.30am my wife is still hanging on to make an appointment. Red practice. Yep that's 3 hours and 45 minutes and counting folks.

They grandy describe her as a priority patient due to a chronic condition.

Laughable. Can anybody beat that.

Time to close this site?

All good things come to an end.

Perhaps the Hersham hub is the place to go locally now this site appears to have expired through lack of input/ interest?

Manor Road closed again

Happy Christmas to all.. To let you all know the ‘Road Closed’ signs aren’t a joke. The gas board have dug up the road near the Conservative club. The middle of the road. Very large holes so there is no chance you can move the signs/barriers and sneak through. Same until new year. I feel sorry for t...

Re: Travellers back on waterside drive

Hmmm that strip between the rowing club, at the end of Sunbury Lane and the Weir pub has attracted and eclectic bunch of late. About 2 years ago a couple of Eastern European’s took up permanent residency in a large green fishing tent right on the river. They in turn seem to have formed up with some ...

Interesting yellow coverings over all the windows in the first block.

Must make for an interesting ambience inside

Pong in The Swan

It seems there is an on going problem with the drains..the whole place stinks. Staff discreetly spraying air freshener doesn’t really cure it.

It doesn’t fit well with paying £17 for two glasses of wine or having a meal at the moment so beware before you book.
