Re: Inept Cameron Wants to Return

All over the papers today:- (Call me) "Dave" Cameron wants to return to politics - please help us my heart is racing towards an attack! The "most useless PM for 200 years" wants to return to the house as Foreign Secretary Reason he's "bored s**tless!" Reasons NOT for him not to return. The man who ...

Re: Elmbridge Roads

Makes you question the intellect and abilities of politicians.....save some money by years of underspending, create a huge problem that eventually can’t be ignored, spend a huge amount solving said problem, repeat from step one. I always assume it's save money by years of under spending because the...

Re: Trains taking the Strain

Started to wonder how this can happen in a modern industrialised country.........then I remembered that Chris Grayling is the minister responsible for Network Rail Indeed but to be fair the problems with the railways started long before Chris Grayling got involved. Goes back to George Stephenson? N...

Fair point but doesn’t bode well for it ever improving. In a particularly mediocre field (on all sides) he’s the one that has me wondering which village is missing its idiot.
I think you have been very generous to some of his predecessors Steve!

I bet he gets a knighthood or companion of honour (taking the late Steven Hawkings 65th place - Osborne equivalent) for this cockup.
I bet he doesn't.

To save you clicking and soiling your computer...

The answer to all of those sort of questions raised by the Daily Mail is:

No
Which is the same answer to the more general question of "Should I bother reading the Daily Mail?".

Re: Birdseye Building - SOLD FOR RESIDENTIAL

Buying a building that no one else wants, putting your plans out for public consultation and then submitting a planning application stating exactly what you plan to do and having pass through both the local committee and full council doesn’t strike me as massively underhand. Also worth pointing out...

Re: Our travelling cousins

If they break into private property, they can be prosecuted for trespass and removed pretty much immediately under section 61 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act. If they broke into Walton Court I think they could be done for aggravated trespass as they would be obstructing or disrupting t...

Re: Excel pool. Filthy

Popped in today after avoiding the place for many months. The teaching pool is broken cannot be raised up or down. Apparently for the last 6 weeks. The jacuzzi is out of order. The toilet in the ladies changing room is still out of order. I didn’t check this one with my own eyes. Might go again aft...

Re: More depressing than Brexit!

The good news is that if the sharp knives do come out and he becomes PM, I'd have though there would have to be a General Election. Now all we need is the knives to come out for Corbyn so that there is an actual opposition in parliament. Who should lead the labour party? Lammy, Umunna, Khan, Cooper...
