Virgin email problems.

Is anyone experiencing problems with Virgin email? Have been having intermittent problems over last fortnight but today is particularly bad!

Been onto Virgin -- it's a national problem seemingly. Have not been too impressed with Virgin of late and this email problem keeps happening year in year out. Think I will hunt around for an alternative.

Yes, I am watching that little wheel going around as I am typing this. I used to be with NTL and have to access mail through Virgin Media. Oh great. message. Failed to open page.

The only problem I get with Virgin Media is a letter every week asking me to come back! Which I will never do! So far as I am concerned they are a load of crap!

Yep me too. I usual pick up my emails via outlook express and recently as Virgin have changed things had to download something. Now I have problems on and off. Been on line to get emails that way, to find that it has been spamming mail I should have recieved. Have to pick up emails that way from now on, although don't like the set up prefer outlook.

Never had any problems before though.

Absolutely agree. With a lot of effort and many telephone calls finally managed to terminate our contract with them. They were trying to charge us for an extra month saying they didn't realise we wanted to teminate our TV package as well as the telephone. It's was all in one package and paid for in monthly payments. I cannot remember all the inns and outs but after managing to get past the normal consumer help ( that's an oxymoron ) lines and get through to the head office in Kensington, and also managing to find Richard Branson's address and contacting him we had success. Going on from that. BT have now got the Sky sports package, but,we were quoted an extra £15.99 on top of the normal monthly television package charge for this service . They lost Setanata and gave us Espn sports channel ( which is bloody awful) now they have the cheek to charge this amount. They are quoting £11.99 on their advertisements for a 2 year contract, but that is only for the first 3 months, it then rises to £15.99. What a con.

Looks as if we are in business again until the next time...... If we all asked for a rebate I am sure they would renew some of their aging equipment as I understand ( from a Virgin engineer), our main connection in Kingston was one of the first and frequently poses problems.

Possibly explains the problem --the Virgin engineer went to the wrong place! Internet now dodgy -- it's virgin on the riduculous.

Of no interest whatsover but, the council are getting £50,000 a year in rental from Virgin for the building that they own on North Weylands Estate! Just thought I would mention it! When digital television first come out, I waited indoors all day for their engineer to arrive, no one ever did, so I cancelled Virgin and switched to Sky. Buying from Virgin is like buying retail when you can buy wholesale from Sky. However I packed Sky up four years ago, cos I could not afford it but I still receive some Sky programmes probably now comes under Freesat.

I would never use an ISP's e-mail service, if you change company you lose your e-mail address .

Far better to use hotmail or Gmail, you then have your e-mail address for life
