It looked like 'Friday's' on the sign outside.

Actually, I read it as "Fridays 2". I may be mistaken.

Tried it last night, like everyone else found it very good. Not the cheapest for sure, but the fish was excellent (and huge), and the batter was delicious. Decent mushy peas as well :)

Has fallen off our takeaway menu in recent years, think it may go back on...

Nearly went down myself last night as nearer than my current favourite in Chertsey.

Glad I didn't now.

What was wrong?

Just tried Frydays tonight !
Couldn't give them a better review if I tried...

Large portion of chips was 'LARGE'
Steak & kidney pie was perfectly heated, not cremated like all other local chip shops, the top was actually edible, I cant recall the last time I said that about a chippie's pie !
Fish cake was VERY nice the wife says !

Certainly on par with Molesey fish bar (Greeko's I'm told).

Whilst waiting in there for the food to cook, I had a good chat with the guy behind the counter.
They are desperate for staff in there and cannot find anybody.
If anybody wants a job, please mention it to them, the manager was busy, otherwise I'd give you more detail.

I asked about the locals, and he said they've all been really friendly and supportive, so that was great to hear.
They didn't realise there's a secondary school on their doorstep, so I suitably warned them !!!

Went for a 'sit down'.

Disappointing.

Haddock delicious, very fresh and a large portion.

Batter on above - tastless but light. Spoilt the overall fish element of the meal.

Chips - real potatoes but certainly nothing special.

Mushy peas - when they were finally served (after we reminded the waitress) were stone cold and watery. Disgusting.

Curry sauce - watery, tasteless with undercooked lumps of onions.

Fishcakes - the usual chippy cheap & cheerful offering - £6.00+.

Over all a big let down.

Will@Walton should've taken your word! Unlike you, we won't be giving it a second chance.

Back to Chertsey Ocean Blue - now over there you're talking something special.

PS They had three men 'frying' and a girl waiting but still took twenty minutes to put the food on the table on a quiet Tuesday night. I can see why they might need more staff. Ha ha.
