Developing in Walton/ Elmbridge Area

Post by mabe123 » Mon Jun 05, 2017 9:44 am

Hi,

I have noticed a lot of negativity against the Drake Park development. I propose the following:

Does anyone know where one can build (1,000 much needed homes) which wouldn't cause a massive traffic impact or, take away from Greenbelt land?

The problem is, is Scotland is too far from Walton-on-Thames area reaslistically..

Does anyone know where, close to Walton-On-Thames that one can build.

Are you actually looking for land to buy?

I am not necessarily going to buy land, I am interested in developable land...

It does seem a bit odd alluding to the demand for land, and opposition to new builds, and then asking a community page 'so... know of any land?'

To be honest, I was just curious, as there is supposedly a property shortage, imho. And people on this forum seems so opposed to developments ie Drake Park...

I think the main objection to Drakes Park is the Hersham Railway bridge. The road narrows to single lane for the bridge, and the additional traffic impact would be significant.

I'm in favour of Drake Park Village.

Is there not some way that one can increase the width of this access point or only allow traffic to come from Rydens Road and Fieldcommon lane, to not allow this impact.
