London Gatwick: The most convenient and cost effective way to travel between Walton-on-Thames and Gatwick Airport is by train. London Gatwick airport is served by Southern Trains and Gatwick Express. Those wishing to travel between London Gatwick Airport and Walton-on-Thames should take the Southern Trains service towards London Victoria Station, changing at Clapham Junction station. From Clapham Junction, board a train travelling towards either Woking via Weybridge (platform 11) or Basingstoke (platform 9). Check the information boards to ensure you board the correct service. Walton railway station is around a 20-30 minute walk from the town centre. A taxi rank is located outside the front of the station. Visitors arriving from London wishing to use a taxi should leave the station and cross under the station using the subway. A short ride to Walton with a metered taxi will cost in excess of £3.00.
